Reflections On A Momentous Year

This was an extraordinary year in many respects. Having just returned from a month in Australia and seeing our daughter so happy and fulfilled as a mother has been our greatest gift. Our grandson - we are biased I know -  is utterly enchanting and so calm and peaceful. 

Then to celebrate the Creative Stone and the Soul Voice Journey teams on Friday night was a milestone in my life. It symbolized a 27 journey as humble founders. It's been a roller coaster ride. 

Everyone laughed at us when we started our company 27 years ago. "What on earth do those two know about running a company?", they said. And here we are twenty seven years later, with the most remarkable leadership team we have ever had and the most committed, creative, and passionate staff. It's been a joy to witness this evolution. 

This year has been a tough year in some respects, but incredibly rewarding in others. The vision of our leadership team for 2026 is so inspiring. 

Our vision for Soul Voice Journeys captures the spirit with which we started our journeys as entrepreneurs in 1998. We were not there to focus on making a profit, we were there to focus on making a difference, on feeding families, and on serving our clients with excellence, guided by global benchmarking and by a passion to live our values, which are steeped in contribution and in legacy. 

Thank you to all of you who have supported me on this new journey of speaking and writing. My passion for entrepreneurial education is at the cornerstone of everything we do and the humbling lessons we learnt over decades. Hard won and hard lived. 

The life of an founder and an entrepreneur is never easy. Sometimes it can be lonely. But when when you build incredible teams and when growing people is at the root of your passion, that is when the roller coaster ride makes sense of everything. 

This year, we celebrated the true meaning of family in every sense of the word. Our family, our Creative Stone family, and our Soul Voice Journeys family.

I am an award-winning Entrepreneur, Global Speaker, Writer and Coach specialising in Identity Intelligence and Author of Belonging, Finding Tribes of Meaning.

Growing up as a young woman in Apartheid South Africa Alison became a political activist for almost twenty years, working under many remarkable leaders of that time including the current South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. The leaders of that time were pivotal in shaping her mission to live a life of contribution.

The journey of building a company from a shed on a field to an award-winning company with 150 employees, winning numerous awards, being featured on television, radio, and in entrepreneur magazines. Her transformative personal growth, overcoming many life and mental health challenges, is narrated through profound storytelling.
Now, as an award-winning speaker and author, she shares her story to inspire others throughout the world, that it is never too late to step into who you were truly meant to be.
