Letting Love In
What a journey we have walked, from when I met you and married you 32 years ago. Our life has become a deepening love story of family, of creativity, of design.
I build with words and you build with beautiful spaces. You are the most romantic man I have ever met. That's what I fell in love with. Your stories of Africa, of working in Uganda, Pakistan and in Europe. Your travels across Africa, from England to Kenya.
You healed my life on so many levels. You gave me a family when I had lost hope of ever finding a soulmate. You appeared in my life after I had been very serious as an activist and journalist. You brought lightness into my world. You brough fun. You brought Belonging.
We complement one another on so many levels. Our love of family, of nature, of animals, of travelling. You build, I decorate and landscape. You build factories, and homes and products. Together we build relationships and tribes, deep friendships formed over years. We both have such a passion for growing people. We both have such a passion for making a difference in humble ways.
You have been my greatest gift, the greatest father, the greatest husband and a friend to so many in your quiet, selfless spirit of serving.
Thank you for 32 extraordinary years.
Thank you for choosing me.
