Biography
Growing up as a young woman in Apartheid South Africa, Alison became a political activist for nearly twenty years, working alongside remarkable leaders of that time, including the current South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. These experiences shaped her lifelong mission to live a life of contribution, courage, and service.
Alison went on to become a multi-award-winning serial entrepreneur, transformational coach, mental health activist, and philanthropist, deeply passionate about bridging economic, social, and cultural divides. Through sharing her own journey of overcoming mental health challenges, she advocates for emotional wellness and creates spaces for healing, hope, and empowerment. Her speaking and writing journey inspired her to found Soul Voice Journeys — a digital platform providing personal development learning material that supports overall wellness through her transformative Identity Intelligence framework.
In her book Belonging, Alison unpacks her once-overlooked story: from her awakening during the Anti-Apartheid movement, to building a company from a small shed into an award-winning business employing 150 people. Through profound storytelling, she reflects on personal growth, resilience, and the courage to overcome adversity
